Tour of Tlaquepaque Arts and Shopping Village
10:00-10:30
When Abe Miller first discovered Sedona, overwhelmed by its beauty, he recognized it as a place filled with creative energy, inspiration and potential. He had a vision and created Tlaquepaque (Ta*la*ka*pa*kee) as an artistic mecca, a destination in the high desert for those who love and create art and for those who love and collect it. A landmark since 1973, it is now one of the Southwest’s most distinct and celebrated arts and shopping experiences.
Join Wendy Lippman (Tlaquepaque Managing Partner and Owner) at 10:00 at the Patio del Norte to learn about the colorful and bohemian history of Sedona and this beautiful space that brings the brilliance of southwest artisans to life. Considered the “Art and Soul” of Sedona, take your time after talking with her to wander through side streets and step into a timeless market place of beauty and delight. Enjoy the ancient sycamores and fall foliage that welcome you home and then linger for lunch on your own, or with other Sister Cities folks, or cross the road and discover the Center for New Age.
